  1. Such a wonderful tribute. Each year it brings back memories of the very first time we experienced the Remembrance Day Service in Horndean – 1975, we were just negoitiating to buy our house in the village centre – a visit at October mid term found us seeing the bonfire guy outside the post office, the bonfie in those days run by the volunteer fire brigade, then a second visit on the weekend of the Remembrance Day Service saw us there again at the time of the service at the war memorial. With 2 children of scout, guide age this really confirmed that we were going to like living in Horndean and that has never changed though sadly the other thing we liked (or should I say my husband liked) was having a brewery in the village centre,
