Merchistoun Hall to expand its team of Front of House Volunteers
Horndean Community Association is looking to expand its Front of House team at Merchistoun Hall
Manager – Brendan Charles said, ‘this is a wonderful role for people who like meeting & interacting with a wide range of people from our local community & beyond who use the centre for a varied programme of activities, events and many other uses.’
The post covers a wide range of services that range from overseeing the reception area, helping the other volunteers and staff keeping the reception informative and inviting, greeting signing in the centre users & visitors, taking payments for weekly events, and other payments due, overseeing the car parking at the hall and preparing refreshments which range from teas and coffees to light lunches and taking enquiries either by phone or in person
There are both morning and afternoon sessions available throughout the week that now need filling with reception being open from 9am – 5pm five days a week offering the sessions as morning and afternoon 9am – 1pm and 1pm – 5pm
‘We have a very simple recruitment procedure: a quick form to complete, an informal chat with us and one reference request, a full induction, and there is plenty of ongoing support from the staff team’ – said Brendan
