This years Horndean Parish Council Christmas Carol Service will be held in the square on Tuesday 13th December starting at 7:00pm and as usual all are very welcome.
This years collection is in aid of Butser Home Start, a charity who supports local single parent families, and Santa will be making a surprise visit at Oh So’s.
Everyone is welcome and hope to see you there.
This years Remembrance Service organised by Horndean Parish Council had a record attendance of approximately 2,000 – boosted not only by the preparation of the Parish Council but also the fine weather. Photos below will enlarge when clicked on.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team are holding their next surgery at Horndean Library on Friday 25th November between 16:00 and 18:00. Please come along and raise any local concerns and meet the team!
Fly tipping is a nuisance. Its a sorry reflection on some people in society and a cost we bear by providing waste collection services, household waste sites and also litter picking or clearing fly tipping. The community groups that support this by litter picking also play an important part in giving a clear message that this just isn’t acceptable.
What is the answer though?
EHDC covers the cost of waste bin collection. Do the recent cuts on opening hours at the Hampshire County Council funded waste recycling sites mean there will be an increase in fly tipping? How much fly tipping waste is commercial waste that would be dumped anyway? Has Peter robbed Paul by saving money at the waste recycling sites and increasing fly tipping. Will HCC impose further cuts? Should we place cameras about to catch people and how does the Data protection Act stop this…
EHDC will be debating this issue on Thursday 3rd November at the Council Chamber at Penns Place from 6:30pm – please come along and listen in!
Rubbish tipped on Five Heads Road a few years ago and linked back to a Horndean Address
This years Remembrance Day Service in Horndean will be on Sunday 13th November.
The parade leaves the Scouts Hut on Five Heads Road at 10:20am to march to the Memorial Square. The service will commence when the parade has filed in and the names on the memorial read out. Please be in the square well before 10:30 and as usual there will be some very short road closures to help keep traffic noise down and make it safe.
