Congratulations to Morgan Dunmore of North Road, Horndean for winning the Bronze medal in the national finals of the British Gymnast Acrobatic NDP Finals which were held in Stoke-on-Trent. This makes Morgan one of the top ranked athletes in the country.
At just 13 years old Morgan is looking forward to her future career as a gymnast so is one to watch out for at the 2020 Olympics. Isn’t it fantastic to have such talent here in Horndean!

I am so happy that we received Bronze at the national finals. It was a very proud moment to be stood on the podium with my amazing acrobatic partner Lauren. I love gymnastics and am so happy at Portsmouth Gymnastic Club where I train many hours a week. I want to say thank you to the coaches, in particular Nat and Imy for all their hard work and belief they had in me and to Phil my head coach who gave me the confidence to go out on that floor and display my passion. My final and biggest thanks has to be to Lauren, a truly wonderful acrobatic gymnast who has supported me and been by my side the entire journey running up to the national finals. Lauren (16) retired from Acro gymnastics after securing her podium place and I will truly miss her – once my base, forever my friend. I now look forward to continuing my gymnastic career as a base where I will get the chance to nurture and support younger gymnasts. Morgan Dunmore.
Well done, Morgan – an amazing achievement!! Wishing you much success in the future! Wendy
Well done to Lauren too, of course!
