It is this time of year again when Council Tax is reviewed by all of the bodies that takes a share of the overall bill and the final details are below.
The good news for every resident in Horndean is that the bill will go DOWN by between £2.74 and £9,88, largely due to the 10% cut of the Parish Council which more than balances out the increases by the Police who increased their budget by 1.99%, the maximum they can before a referendum is required.
EHDC are again putting forward a 0% change without any cuts to services despite inflation and cuts in government grants. There is more on this in the earlier article entitled “council tax cut on the way”.
Cllr Ferris Cowper, Leader at EHDC said “Once again there will be no rise in Council Tax. We have increased Council Tax just three times in the last nine years and are committed to keeping Council Tax low for as long as possible. EHDC is in a strong financial position. That is not something that can be said about every council.”
Here is a complete breakdown for each of the bands in Horndean including how much each authority gets from the Council Tax and the final figures for you council tax bills for the next year.
