National Tree Week 1st December 2014 at Horndean Parish Council.
Take part in National Tree Week celebrations here in Horndean. Tree week is the UK’s largest tree celebration annually launching the start of the winter tree planting season. This year Horndean Parish Council is celebrating the week by planting cherry trees at Downs Park. Tree planting week is a great chance for the whole community to get involved in enhancing green areas. Nationally over this week it is expected that upwards of a quarter of a million people will be getting involved and getting their hands dirty.
The plan for Monday: All meet at Downs Park at 10am (off Wessex Road, Horndean, PO8 0HS), the planting will take us till lunch time. Refreshments will be provided on the day. Wear old clothes and possibly waterproofs!
Looking forward to seeing you then
