EHDC are in partnership with other local authorities on energy saving improvements in the home and this can lead to grant funding and support in energy saving home improvements.
East Hampshire residents can receive help to keep warm this winter by getting at least £4,000 to equip their homes with solid wall insulation and £400 for a new boiler, for example.
Other measures on offer from East Hampshire District Council include cavity wall insulation, double glazing, loft insulation, high performance doors and more.
The first step in the process is a Green Deal assessment – this lets the homeowner know which energy-saving measures make the most sense for their home. This assessment is free if the homeowner goes on to install a measure, and if not it costs just £29 rather than the usual price of £150. The scheme is open to all East Hampshire residents living in a privately owned or privately rented home.
