Southcott Homes held a public consultation for a proposed development of 26 homes on Downhouse Road on the 5th June. You didn’t blink and miss it any more than I did – I also found out about it after the event like most of the Parish and District Councillors. I know of one fellow Councillor who received a notification letter on the eve of the consultation.
This proposed development is for 26 homes and while it is not in my ward, fellow Councillors will agree unanimously this does not stop me expressing a view and tinkering. Please contact info@southcotthomes.co.uk with any comments on the application and while they state that their closing date is the 12th June please do not let this stop you commenting, and make the point that the consultation was very poorly advertised, and you have only just heard about it. Please also copy comments to Cllr Sara Schillemore at sara.schillemore@easthants.gov.uk To see the Southcott website, click here
Hi Guys
We actually received a leaflet from them approx a week before the 12th June – asking us if we had views on the scheme and if so, to please provide them on the ‘tear-off’ slip and return to them by post – well we might have done had they put a RETURN ADDRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Sending to us in Glamorgan Road, also ensured we were not really in the vicinity of the scheme!!!
Smoke and mirrors as usual !!
Regards
Geoff & Vicki
