Following the scrapping of the PCT’s (Primary Care Trusts), new CCG’s (Clinical Commissioning Groups) are being formed. These will fall under the responsibility of Hampshire County Council with most changes being implemented by April 2013. We will fall under the South Eastern Clinical Commissioning Group, one of 5 areas in the County. While this will largely be a County responsibility, we have an interest with how our local surgeries will be funded, how developers contributions for health provision get channeled etc.
South Eastern Hampshire CCG (Map Below) has 28 GP practices, a budget of £180m, a population of 209,068. They also fund our local hospitals and the Ambulance service.
